Dirk Schumacher

Dirk Schumacher (graduate engineer, German patent attorney and European patent, trademark & design attorney) studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University Munich with a special focus on automation technology. After graduation he first gained industry experience as an engineer. Dirk then specialised in the field of intellectual property. Following freelance activities as an attorney for different law firms he and Peter Willsau founded the law firm Schumacher & Willsau in the beginning of 2000. He is a managing director of Schumacher & Willsau and active in all sectors of intellectual property. Dirk is married and has two sons. Among his hobbies are sailing, mountaineering, skiing, cooking and music.
